One of the first assets I had the opportunity to work on for South of Midnight was Benji. I was responsible for the initial blockout phase, in close collaboration with the gameplay team to ensure a smooth integration into the game experience.
I handled the brief and oversaw the final sculpting process, which was executed by the talented artists at Keos Masons, while the final texturing was beautifully completed by our Environment team.
Working on Benji was an incredibly enriching experience, as it involved coordination across multiple departments. It gave me the chance to learn a lot and appreciate the importance of cross-discipline collaboration in shaping a character from concept to final in-game asset.
Special thanks to our previous lead Rodrigue Pralier, for the initial concept sculpt, to our amazing concept artist, João Bragato, for the inspiring design, to our art director Whitney Clayton, for her invaluable final feedback, and of course to the awesome team at Keos Masons for their outstanding work on the sculpt.
